Resident alleges pattern of noncompliance by applicant during public comment

During the public-comment period a resident told the commission the applicant had previously built and expanded uses without proper process and urged the commission to act. The speaker recounted a history of prior projects at the same general location and said the pattern of behavior continued with the current expansion.

The resident said, "This is the way Luke Wilson does business. He will uh do something that is not appropriate and then continue to push until somebody finally stops him." The applicant replied that the grading permit for the work had been approved, that he paid a fine while matters were sorted out, and that engineers have confirmed the work conforms to code. The commission did not adjudicate the factual dispute in the hearing and asked the applicant to provide documentation when resubmitting plans.
