Panelists at the town hall outlined several channels for student and family feedback: principal-run suggestion boxes, direct email to vendors, social-media channels managed by the district, and on-the-ground feedback gathered by principals and cafeteria managers. "I'm going to have a suggestion box in my school. And then I'll be the one to deliver it myself to the district office," Dr. Whitfield said, describing how elementary feedback will be collected.
Mr. Eaton and district staff said they will monitor participation metrics every day and adjust future menu cycles accordingly. "We examine feedback from the students and student participation every day," Eaton said, and the panel noted that an item that performs well can be added to the next published menu. The district asked students and parents to report likes and dislikes so the menus can stabilize around student preferences over time.
