Donna Lince told the board the district’s two bond series (2017 and 2023) carry combined principal and interest payments of about $4.8 million for the coming year. She also said the district will budget a PlanCon reimbursement—approximately $596,000—on the 2017 series that will offset some debt costs.
Lince reviewed the budget calendar: homestead/farmstead applications must be filed with the county by March 1 for primary residences; the board previously adopted a resolution to stay within the tax index because the district accepted adequacy money; proposed final budget approval is targeted for early May and final adoption no later than June 30.
