Board approves retirements, resignations and spring coaches' renewals

The Towanda Area School District board approved several personnel actions at its June 15 meeting, including one retirement, multiple resignations, and the renewal of spring coaches' contracts.
The board accepted the retirement of Karen Donovan (Custodian II), effective Sept. 4, 2026, and recorded resignations including Jasmine Seifried and Russell Haskins (custodial staff) and several aides effective in May and June 2026. The board approved temporary ESY positions: Stephanie Crossett (ESY Teacher, $34.85/hr.), Bethany Weber (ESY Aide, $22.06/hr.), and Hailey Wickwire (ESY Aide, $20.13/hr.), effective July 6, 2026. The board also renewed spring coaches' contracts, notably head baseball and head track at a supplemental salary of $6,564 each; all personnel actions were approved by voice vote, 6-0-0-3.
Board members noted the Sports and Supplemental Committee had met in executive session to review spring coaches' evaluations prior to the approvals.
