A board member praised Kitten’s service: “he was a pioneer. He also uh professionally wanted to grow and wanted to become an administrator and was selected.” The board moved to accept the resignation and the motion passed by voice vote.
Separately, the board approved hiring Courtney Stark as a math teacher at Central; trustees said Stark relocated recently to Milton Freewater and will also help with coaching duties. The motion to approve the certified hire passed unanimously, and the board noted internal staffing adjustments are planned to cover Coach Kitten’s previous roles.
