The Solon Springs School District board approved the previous meeting minutes and a slate of expenditures after hearing the district treasurer's report.
The treasurer reported a beginning balance of $225,394.12 and total receipts of $282,181.50; the local government pool balance was listed at $2,747,586.14. Board discussion touched on the timing of tax receipts that should replenish district funds in August. A board member noted a recent tractor repair that cost about $5,000.
"We paid about $5,000 to repair a tractor," a board member said during the expenditure review. The board approved the expenditures and minutes by voice vote.
The board did not make additional funding decisions at the meeting; members said they expect to review annual budget items and state-aid estimates at the upcoming annual meeting.
