Turkeyfoot Valley board approves Somerset Technology Center budgets and acknowledges clean audit

On Feb. 17 the Turkeyfoot Valley Area School District board approved two Somerset County Technology Center budgets for 2026-2027: a Secondary Budget of $6,847,875 and an Adult Budget of $750,000.
Terry Bender moved and David Tannehill seconded both budget approvals; all members present voted in the affirmative. The board also acknowledged receipt of the district's 2025 Annual Financial Report. Mike Diehl reported the audit opinion was clean but noted problems with how the district's accounting software (Skyward) had been set up and instructed the business manager to seek help from PASBO to correct the setup.
The approvals obligate the district to the SCTC budgets for the upcoming fiscal year; the board did not amend the amounts during the meeting.
