Nutter Fort council approves option to offer supplemental employee benefit program

The Town of Nutter Fort council unanimously approved moving forward with next steps to offer town employees an optional supplemental benefit program presented by Bearing Advisors.

Robert Matheny of Bearing Advisors presented additional information on a program described to council members as one that "does not replace existing health benefits but fills in the gaps." Councilor Shawn Spurlock moved to proceed and Councilor Sam Maxson seconded. A roll call recorded 'Yes' votes from Councilors Rick Lafferty, Karen Phillips, Charlene Louk, Sam Maxson, Recorder Natalie Haddix and Councilor Shawn Spurlock; the motion passed unanimously.
