Plan identifies three northern gaps on Lawrence Loop and preferred alignments from public input

Presenters flagged three remaining gaps on the northern segment of the Lawrence Loop and said a focused open house and a public survey produced preferred alignment choices for each gap. Stephen Mason told the advisory board the Lawrence Loop was a frequent topic during outreach and that the steering committee and respondents helped identify preferred options for closing the remaining segments.

The plan offers a funding and phasing approach that treats the Loop as part of the priority network; once a preferred alignment is selected for a gap, the city can pursue standalone bicycle and pedestrian funding or include the segment in routine reconstruction projects to close the gap. Board members asked for further information on preferred alignments and noted their interest in ensuring the parks department is a partner as alignments intersect park properties.
