Blue Line Bar and Grill gets permit for Sept. 7 car‑show fundraiser in Addison

The Village of Addison approved a permit request Aug. 17 for an outdoor car‑show fundraiser hosted by the Blue Line Bar and Grill at 475 South Grey Street on Sept. 7.

Jennifer Mongaya, representing the Blue Line Bar and Grill, described the event as a family‑friendly car show and fundraiser benefiting the Veterans Trust Foundation, scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Staff and the applicant said the ice rink will be closed that day and that customer parking and showcased cars will use the ice‑rink parking lot and adjacent street parking. The applicant said a small 10x10 tent and a DJ on the deck will be provided, that food and drinks will be available for purchase inside the restaurant, and that no alcohol will be served outdoors in compliance with the venue’s liquor license; the venue will provide staff and security to manage ingress, egress and parking.

Committee and board members approved the permit subject to final reviews by building, police and fire departments prior to permit issuance. Mongaya emphasized the event’s fundraising purpose and community‑oriented nature.
