Construction update: bus barn progress, canopy and concession work on schedule

Administration told the board the bus barn is moving forward: brick is expected by the end of the month and the new addition could be ready by early December, after which work will roll into the remodel of the existing barn. The presenter cautioned that coordination issues arose when a subcontractor revealed a conflict between the mechanical ductwork and the space‑frame drawings; the team submitted an RFI, adjusted drawings and is waiting for the fire‑sprinkler shop drawings before finalizing the space‑frame placement.

Athletics projects include curb-and-gutter work toward the concession stand, a canopy at the competition gym, and parking lot staking for asphalt; baseball-light poles are in and the CMU wall is being rebuilt. The board was told the elementary campus is in the punch‑list and warranty phase — roofing bubbling will be inspected by G&G and remaining finish work (casework, flooring, signage) is scheduled. "We're just glad to be moving forward," a board member said in response to questions about the schedule.
