During the superintendent’s report the district announced receipt of the "Montana Reeds" competitive grant worth $1.2 million to be distributed over four years and described permit and accounting steps to request cash draws for the grant. The superintendent also reported completion of a new fence between campus and adjacent commercial properties and that a new elementary boiler has been installed and is operating efficiently; the older boiler will be retained for transition use.
“We did of course receive the Montana Reeds grant, which was a competitive grant that brings 1.2 million into our district over four years,” the superintendent said. The superintendent added that LED lighting and recent heating upgrades have reduced consumption even as utility rates have increased.
