The Union Area Board approved a string of personnel appointments and stipends during its Aug. 13 meeting.
The board approved Matthew Staph as a paraprofessional (effective Aug. 13, pending paperwork); Marisa Federici was approved as the district Homeless Liaison; Rob Nogay was named District Safety & Security Coordinator; Scott Brogan was approved as a van driver effective Aug. 25 pending paperwork; and James Strickler was approved as a volunteer junior-high football coach pending paperwork. The board also approved John Westcott and Katrina Levendoski as band camp instructors, to be paid a $450 stipend for the 2025–26 school year.
All listed personnel motions carried on voice vote or recorded motion and were presented as part of routine staffing and extracurricular preparations for the upcoming school year.
