The Union Area School District board approved an agreement with the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit for special education services for the 2025–26 school year and approved an agreement with the Center for Hearing & Deaf Services, Inc., effective Aug. 13, 2025.
The board additionally authorized advertising to contract with a hearing-impaired interpreter for the 2025–2026 school year, a step intended to secure accessibility services for students and events. All motions passed by recorded vote.
The approved agreements formalize outside-service relationships for special education and communication access in the coming school year.
