Tom Finley asked the board to consider adopting "a no cut policy for all student athletics and activities," saying he wanted the board to take the request under consideration. Jessica Settle followed, describing issues with a coach's composure and saying she was concerned about "seniors quitting the program" and the inability to have a conversation with the coach, which she said threatens the continuance of the program.
Board members did not take formal action on the requests during that meeting; Superintendent Dr. Michael Ross later noted personnel matters are handled in executive session and that he would contact people with updates if there are changes.
