Union Area SD approves summer staff, summer-school teachers, accepts teacher resignation and grants FMLA leave
Summary
The board approved summer custodians effective June 4, summer-school teachers Lisa Antuono and Alyssa Trocci, accepted High School English teacher Jacob Trinca’s resignation effective June 3, 2026, and approved FMLA leave for Nicolle DeJohn from about Sept. 21 through Dec. 11, 2026.
The Board approved multiple personnel actions at the May 20 meeting. Valarie Pavelko moved to approve the list of summer custodians to be paid according to the Local Laborers #964 Agreement, effective June 4, 2026; Roxanne Exposito seconded and the motion passed 9–0.
The board also approved two summer-school teachers, Lisa Antuono and Alyssa Trocci, under the UAEA Agreement; accepted the resignation of High School English teacher Jacob Trinca effective June 3, 2026; and approved an FMLA leave for Mrs. Nicolle DeJohn from approximately Sept. 21 through Dec. 11, 2026. All personnel measures carried unanimously.
