The Union Area Board voted May 20 to designate First Commonwealth Bank of Pennsylvania (Union Township Office) as a depository for several district accounts, including Cafeteria, High School Activities, Athletic and Letterman’s Club accounts; the Board separately named First Commonwealth Bank as the depository and Treasurer for the General Fund and Payroll Fund for 2026–2027. Both motions passed 9–0.
The board also approved retaining Attorney Louis "Lou" Perrotta as the district solicitor for 2026–27 at a rate of $135 per hour with no retainer. In addition, the board approved an agreement with Infocon Corporation for tax processing services for the 2026 tax year. All motions were recorded as carried 9–0 in the minutes.
