Board adopts superintendent evaluation; members honor departing trustees

The board voted to adopt the annual evaluation summary for Superintendent Susan Penrod for the 2024–25 year. The written summary presented to the board stated that the board "determined that Superintendent Penrod's performance was exemplary in the areas of culturally responsive instructional leadership and improvement, policy governance and advocacy, and ethics and professional norms," and rated other areas as highly effective.
Board members thanked the superintendent for leadership and collaborative work during the year and discussed distribution of targeted staff and community feedback that informed the evaluation. In the same meeting the board recognized outgoing members Brian Owen, Chris Porter and Michelle Hawin, thanking them for service on advisory committees, capital projects and the district foundation.
