Seaside district wins state grant for emergency ConX boxes to support schools and city

Superintendent reported the district was awarded a grant from the Department of Human Services and Oregon Emergency Management to provide three 40‑foot ConX containers stocked with emergency supplies and equipment. The superintendent described the award as “about a quarter of a million dollar grant,” and said a company called Fixed Resilience will pack the units and provide training on their use.
The units will be located at district facilities and shared with the city of Seaside and Clatsop County under an agreement that is being developed. District staff and local emergency officials visited last Thursday to view the equipment and congratulate the district on the award. Board members described the grant as one of only two along the Oregon coast to receive this particular support.
