Superintendent Susan said she is developing bylaws for a Seaside School District Foundation and expects to hold a meeting next month of the seven-member foundation board to clarify fundraising priorities tied to projects like the performing arts center. "The goals that I am proposing for 2025–26 continue to develop the Seaside School District Foundation and I'm in the process right now of developing the bylaws," she said.
Trustees discussed outreach tactics to showcase district projects and encourage community participation, including coffee-with-the-superintendent events, campus tours and online outreach through ParentSquare and local groups such as Seaside Retirees. Members said a visible on-campus event this year should be part of the outreach goal and that the foundation's board formation means the foundation goal is moving from planning to implementation.
