Board approves girls soccer and gymnastics cooperative agreements; hockey coop to be discussed by committee

The Mineral Point board approved athletic cooperative agreements for girls soccer and gymnastics on Jan. 12. "Motion made by Member Heisner approve both Co-op agreements, seconded by Member Busch," the minutes state; the roll call vote was 6-0 in favor.
During the public comment portion, attendee Kyle Levetzow (Dodgeville) spoke on behalf of a potential hockey cooperative among Dodgeville, Mt. Horeb and Mineral Point and said further discussion would be scheduled at a Personnel/Finance Committee meeting; Christina Weitzel (Mineral Point) spoke in support. The board recorded the public comment and approved the girls soccer and gymnastics co-ops; any formal hockey agreement will be discussed separately by committee.
