Council refers state-mandated Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code to economic development committee

Councilors referred the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code to the economic development committee for further review after staff described the state-mandated model code and map. Councilors made a motion to refer the item to the economic development committee; the clerk announced the motion passed by majority vote. A councilor corrected an early misstatement from "wild life" to "wild fire." Staff said committee review is required under the city charter for ordinances with penalty provisions.
