The Darlington Community School District board on Feb. 11 accepted three charitable gifts totaling $9,906.36 to support student programs and need-based accounts. The donations recorded in the minutes were $266.00 from Joan M. Martin and the Share the Love Fundraiser to the DEMS Service Learning Student Activity Account for Rosie Bags; $294.54 from the Apple River State Bank Debit Card Rewards Program to the Needy Students Activity Account; and a $9,345.82 grant from the Blackbaud Giving Fund to the District. Each acceptance was moved by Board member Stauffacher and seconded by Board member Fink, and the motions carried.
Board members formally thanked the donors in the motion language recorded in the minutes; the motions specifically “thank[ed] Ms. Martin and the Share the Love Fundraiser,” Apple River State Bank, and the Blackbaud Giving Fund for their donations.
