The board approved multiple personnel actions at the July 21 meeting, including hiring Jeremiah Two Bulls as a bus driver and Nancy Chase as an assistant cook at $17.00 per hour. The board also approved an extra duty agreement with Mato Hinton for football driver/advisor at $2,800 for the 2026–2027 school year.
Trustees approved retention bonuses to support staff recruitment and retention. The minutes record: "MOTION by Schommer, second Tlustos to pay $1,000 retention bonus to all certified teachers and administrators, including full-time contracted administration to be paid in full on September 15, 2026, payroll. Cope abstained. Motion carried." The board also approved a $1,000 retention bonus for hourly staff to be paid in two equal payments (Sept. and January); part-time hourly staff were approved to receive $500 on Sept. 15, 2026. That motion recorded abstentions by Osmotherly and Merdanian.
These personnel and compensation actions were recorded as motions in the minutes and carried as noted; the business manager and superintendent will implement payroll adjustments.
