After several earlier meetings and an Aug. 12 work session, the Sturgeon Bay School District board on Aug. 19 approved PSI to serve as the district’s roofing consultant to begin roofing management work. Commissioner W moved to approve PSI; Commissioner Spritka seconded the motion, which passed by voice vote.
Board members said district staff had interviewed four consultant teams and that PSI was responsive to follow‑up questions. Members discussed whether to approve roofing only or to include a broader maintenance scope; administration recommended approving roofing now and returning with a separate recommendation for any additional maintenance engagement. "We could just move forward on the roofing piece so that gets going," a board member said during the motion discussion.
