Board ratifies Meadow psychiatric services agreement and IDEA funding contracts

The Minersville Area School District Board of Education on Feb. 27 ratified a three-year Letter of Agreement with The Meadows Psychiatric Center for educational services at $100 per day per admitted student for the 2025/26, 2026/27 and 2027/28 school years, authorizing Superintendent Michael Maley to sign the contract.
Separately, the board ratified the superintendent’s signature on the 2024/2025 IDEA Part B contract with Intermediate Unit #29 and approved the Section 619 pass-through agreement for IDEA funds with the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit. The motions were recorded as carried on roll call or voice votes; the minutes do not record dissenting votes.
