The Minersville Area Board of Education on Feb. 28 ratified the superintendent's signature on the IDEA Part B Adoption documents and approved the Intermediate Unit (IU) #29 Administrative & Program Budget and the Schuylkill Technology Center (STC) Secondary Budget for fiscal year 2024–2025. Board minutes record that the motions passed on roll call with all members voting in favor.
The board also authorized a five-year contract with Active Internet Technologies, d/b/a Finalsite, for a new district website platform. The board approved the five-year payment schedule as presented: July 1, 2024 — $9,069; July 1, 2025 — $9,392; July 1, 2026 — $9,728; July 1, 2027 — $10,077; July 1, 2028 — $10,440. James T. Croley, II moved the Finalsite motion and Albert D. Marazas seconded; the board approved it on roll call.
Why it matters: the IU and STC budgets formalize the district's shared-service and career-technical commitments for the coming school year; the Finalsite contract establishes the vendor and multi-year cost structure for the district website. The board did not attach additional contingencies to these approvals in the minutes.
