A Minersville resident raised concerns about the district's approach to notifying parents about health issues in classrooms during public comment at the April 23 board meeting. Ethel Uroskie of 325 Jones Street said she was dissatisfied with how the district communicates health concerns and urged clearer notification practices. The minutes record that "There is no ratio of students:illness that must be communicated to parents."
Superintendent Michael Maley responded in the meeting summary that the district "would be reporting issues daily" and said he would follow up with a phone call to Mrs. Uroskie with a more detailed response. The exchange was recorded during the public comment portion of the meeting; the board did not take formal action on notification protocols at this session.
