Superintendent Aaron Carey informed the board the district's participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) will provide free breakfast and lunch for all students through 2030, covering multiple upcoming school years. He said the district completed the application and will likely continue to apply proactively to preserve the four-year extension.
On financial operations, business staff described plans to implement InTouch Receipts, a credit-card payment platform for school concessions, gates and yearbook and fundraising purchases. The district had initially aimed for an August 31 rollout but expects staff training and vendor integration to extend into September. Staff said the system will also integrate meal-time software with Synergy so parents can view menus and allergy alerts through the parent portal. "We are on CEP ... through 2030," Carey said during the report.
The business office also noted preparations for an upcoming in-person audit and continued work on payroll and inventory systems.
