Committee members plan joint letter to DEP and to present monitoring data as evidence
Summary

After the resolution was read, a committee member said they would support the resolution and asked fellow committee and council members if they would sign a joint letter to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection urging denial of Boozy UNIM’s request to weaken emission controls.
"I will also send an email out to the members of council asking if they want to sign on to this letter as well," the committee member said, and asked colleagues to indicate interest; at least two council members were named as likely signatories. Committee members also said they would attempt to coordinate a single signed resolution copy to accompany any letter. The committee did not vote that day; the resolution was listed on the full-council agenda for consideration that evening.
