Board approves personnel roster, coaching hires; one member objects to summer hour and holiday approvals
Summary
Montour approved multiple staff and extracurricular appointments, leaves, and two employee suspensions; Mr. Young voted No to agenda items approving July holidays and summer hours for MESPA/administrative staff.
The board approved a wide slate of personnel actions on Feb. 20, 2025, including long-term substitute Carly Agnew for DEW, numerous extracurricular coaching appointments (examples: Varsity Softball Head Coach Kutchman $5,900; Varsity Baseball Head Coach Janeda $5,255), support-staff changes and leaves of absence. Retirements and homebound instructor appointments were also accepted.
The board approved July 2 and July 3, 2025 as holidays for MESPA and administrative staff and adopted summer office hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m., June 6–Aug. 15, 2025); Mr. Young recorded a No vote on the items labelled #3 and #4 in the personnel packet. The board also approved a 3-day suspension for employee ID #3148 and a 1-day suspension for employee ID #786.
