The Montour School District Board of School Directors voted July 17 to adopt Resolution 25-004, authorizing the issuance of General Obligation Notes in an amount not to exceed $42,000,000 to refund certain outstanding indebtedness in order to achieve debt service savings.
Director of Finance Anna Borsos presented the Treasurer’s report and the bond-refunding resolution as part of the Budget & Finance agenda. The resolution was described by the administration as being offered “in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Unit Debt Act” to provide funds for refunding. The motion to adopt Resolution 25-004 was approved by roll call with all present voting yes.
The board considered the resolution alongside other finance items, including routine bill payments and short-term investment adjustments. No public comment or opposing motion on the refunding resolution was recorded in the minutes. The board did not specify financing terms (interest rates or final maturities) during the meeting; the resolution authorizes issuance up to the stated principal amount only.
