Montour Board ratifies $5.48 million in General Fund bills, reviews capital projects and accepts donations

The Montour School District Board on June 19 voted to approve and ratify payments as presented by Director of Finance Anna Borsos. The General Fund bills to be approved totaled $5,478,714.25; bills to be ratified totaled $1,635,054.63. The Treasurer’s report included account balances, CD maturities and a listing of completed capital projects whose combined project totals were listed at $14,823,244.58.
The board approved a set of budget transfers and designated depositories for 2025‑26 (First National Bank, US Bank, PLGIT and PSDLAF). It also approved district insurance through Assured Partners at a cost not to exceed $466,081. The finance presentation closed with acceptance of grants and donations, including a $4,000 donation from Steeler Charities for flag football, $522.97 from Special Olympics of PA for Unified Bocce and a $30 donation to the Montour Classroom Cupboard among others.
Actions on bills, transfers and insurance were approved by roll call with all present voting yes.
