Montour board approves 4% district raises, gives superintendent extra $12,500 to base; ratifies transportation contract

The board approved a 4% annual salary increase for administration, Act 93 and contracted employees and increased Superintendent Dr. Christopher Stone's base by an additional $12,500 effective July 1, 2025; it also approved multiple hires and ratified a transportation ESP collective bargaining agreement through Aug. 14, 2030.
At the June 19 meeting the Montour School District Board approved personnel actions that included a 4% annual salary increase for administration, Act 93 and contracted employees and a separate 4% increase for Superintendent Dr. Christopher Stone plus an additional $12,500 applied to his base salary effective July 1, 2025.
Director of Human Resources Susan Sinicki presented a long personnel slate that the board approved, including multiple professional and support staff elections, extracurricular coach appointments, summer‑program staff, department chair stipends, mentor teacher appointments and status changes. The personnel list includes the appointment of Robert Isherwood as Director of Pupil Services (administrative assignment listed as $130,000 annually, effective TBD) and routine leaves, resignations and retirements.
The board also voted to ratify the collective bargaining agreement between the Montour School District and the Montour Transportation ESP Association covering Aug. 15, 2025 through Aug. 14, 2030. The Personnel Agenda was approved by roll call; all present voted yes except one recorded abstention by Mr. Galiyas on the appointment of Juliana Carr.
