Board OKs DEW weight room inspection and Compass SEL curriculum purchase

Dr. Jason Burik presented a request to contract Tristate Fitness to perform four inspections of DEW weight‑room fitness equipment at a cost of $1,400 to ensure proper operation and safety; the board approved the expenditure.
The board also approved purchase of the Compass social‑emotional learning curriculum for DEW at a total cost of $2,800 and approved the DEW 2025–26 Student/Parent and Teacher Handbooks as enclosed in the packet. These items were adopted as part of the education agenda and carried on a unanimous roll call vote.
