Progresso ISD adopts updated student code of conduct, adds anonymous tip app and threat‑assessment process

Administration presented the updated student code of conduct and handbook and asked the board to approve changes required for compliance with state templates and safety protocols. The presenter described additions that expand awareness and intervention for dating violence, bullying, suicide prevention and mental-health supports; the materials reference state templates and chapter 37 guidance.

The district also described a newly adopted anonymous tip app that routes reports to law enforcement and campus administrative teams for triage, and a behavior threat‑assessment process that feeds into the district’s MTSS intervention system. The presenter said the resources will be posted in both languages on the district website and incorporated into parent outreach and registration communications. Trustees approved the handbook as presented.
