The Northland Pines Board of Education voted Aug. 17 to adopt four district goals for the 2026–27 school year. Board members approved goals to increase the percentage of students performing at or above grade‑level proficiency in English language arts and math by 5% (to be measured by state assessments and local benchmarks), to raise overall attendance to 95% or higher, to implement strategies to recruit and retain high‑quality staff, and to use data to consider long‑term enrollment impacts on budget, staffing and buildings.
Administrators said the first two goals were developed with significant staff input and community survey feedback and will be rolled out at upcoming inservice events. A motion to approve the district goals was made, seconded and carried by voice vote.
