Board accepts $262,000 amendment for TMMI lift-station design work; funding and scope discussed

The Board of Works accepted Amendment Two to the TMMI wastewater project design agreement on Aug. 17, 2026, adding $262,000 for construction-administration and programming services to the phase-two lift station.

Josh, identified in the meeting as representing Wesley, described the scope: “we will be assisting the city with processing pay apps, um doing the administrative legwork to keep the construction process going, as well as programming the lift station when it's up and running,” and said Wesley will work with Princeton on the programming. Board members asked if the expense was foreseen; the original design contract was cited in the meeting as $640,000 and the new amendment as $262,000.

A board member noted the combined total would approach $1 million once construction costs are added. Officials told members the construction notice to proceed would not be issued until funding is in place and that the amendment fees are expected to be covered by grant funding or Gibson County Redevelopment sources rather than the city's general fund.

A motion to accept the amendment was made, seconded and approved by voice vote; the transcript shows no roll-call tally.
