An administrative presenter gave the board the district’s 2025–26 bullying summary on Aug. 17, saying, “During the 2526 school year, the district received 37 reports of possible bullying. Eight were determined to meet the definition of bullying.” The presenter said eight confirmed incidents included two elementary, five middle school and one high school case, and that verbal bullying was the most common form; one confirmed incident was race‑based.
The presenter noted a year‑to‑year trend: confirmed incidents rose from four in 2023 to five in 2024–25 and eight in 2025–26, while the SUSO reporting channel fell from 62 reports to 22. Administrators said the district adopted a new data system called NextPath to better track behavior and reporting in 2026–27 and that responses have ranged from parent conferences and restorative conversations to behavioral contracts and tiered supports.
