Administrator rolls up budget changes: boat ramp, restrooms, vehicles and contract notes

County Administrator Jessica presented a fund-by-fund wrap-up of requested budget changes and capital items during the workshop.

She told commissioners the county would reallocate $50,000 to the boating improvement fund and $50,000 to the tourism special revenue fund to support a boat ramp; the pavilion and boat-ramp restrooms remain included in the plan. A proposed $19,000 flagpole item was removed. Jessica also described a vehicle replacement: "The truck purchase for 45,000, is a $50.50 split. This is a Jeep Patriot replacement, and that'll be in the CIP and the public works funds." She said personnel changes reflect adding a grants manager and an updated organizational structure; staff will present final personnel counts and allocations at the July 23 meeting.

Jessica noted a corrected communications cost for the 19th judicial circuit down to approximately $43,536 from a prior $130,000 figure and said fleet services will align with a 7% increase used across departments. Commissioners asked questions about timing and details; staff agreed to bring a personnel breakdown at the July 23 meeting for formal review.
