Staff focus on AI professional learning; principals report honor roll and grading handbook work

Director of Curriculum & Instruction Jen Bowers told the board that on Feb. 12 certified staff participated in a professional development day focused on AI professional learning, including discussion of AI policies and staff ethics.
Principals Amy Lewis and Karen Strandt highlighted first-semester honor-roll students and school initiatives: weekly snapshot communications, ParentSquare use, bell-schedule review, work on a grading handbook to be presented in June, and adjustments to reading benchmarks and interventions that indicate improvement in reading interventions.
