Parkview board adopts multiple revised policies on second reading

The Parkview School District Board approved several policy revisions on second reading Feb. 16, including procedures for administrator evaluation, temporary administrative assignments and new promotion/retention rules through 8th grade.
The Parkview School District Board approved a set of proposed and revised policies during its Feb. 16 meeting after a second reading by the Policy Committee.
The policies approved were: 225-Rule (District Administrator Evaluation Procedure), 260 (Temporary Administrative Assignments), 343.1 (Junior/Senior High School Schedule Changes), 345.4 and 345.4-Rule (Promotion and Retention Through 8th Grade — new policies), and 345.41 (4K–8 Promotion Policy). The motion to approve the policies was made by Bruce Polheber, Jr. and seconded by Kerrie Schmidt; the motion passed unanimously (Yea: 7, Nay: 0, Absent: 0).
Board members set follow-up committee meeting dates for curriculum and finance matters and did not pull any of these policy items for further amendment during the meeting.
