The Parkview School District Board of Education approved a broad consent package at its May 18 meeting that included multiple staff recommendations, summer-school staffing updates and donations.
The consent agenda, moved by Fredd Carr and seconded by Jennie Krajeck, passed 6-0 with one member absent. The package included recommendations to hire Tim Strandlie as elementary principal; Macayla Church as school psychologist at Parkview Jr./Sr. High; Ashley McKillips as special-education teacher at PJH/PHS; Delany Allen as English teacher at PHS; August Pautsch as a math teacher at PHS; and Ashley Funk as a science teacher at PJH. The board also approved issuing diplomas to seniors listed for graduation who successfully complete all graduation requirements and approved summer-school staffing updates.
The board accepted $3,450 in donations earmarked for Destination Imagination: Borntreger Electric LLC donated $2,500; the John L. Kinna Memorial Fund donated $200; House of Lexx LLC donated $500; and the Parkview/Albany Wrestling Booster Club donated $250. The consent motion also recorded the resignation/retirement of Food Service Assistant Kim Ferger and approved hiring Tory Baars as a Food Service Assistant at PJH/PHS.
