Joe Ruskey of Dependable Solutions told the Board the vendor used e-rate funding and grants to limit costs and had secured a $100,000 grant earmarked for cyber security training. Early purchases captured promotional pricing that saved "tens of thousands of dollars," he said, and the District is proposing roughly a $125,000 decrease in the technology budget for 2026–27.
Ruskey also warned that Dependable is seeking a new server vendor after a corporate buyout caused substantial cost increases in the market; he noted the replacement equipment will begin warranty coverage in July 2026. There were no board questions at the time and Ruskey thanked the Board for the continued partnership.
