The South Milwaukee School District Board of Education approved a consent agenda July 1 that included three staffing hires for the 2026–27 school year and the resignation of a special education teacher. Board member Ellis moved the measure and Board member Genduso seconded; "All voted aye by roll call. Motion carried 4-0," the minutes record.
The consent agenda authorized the hire of Jennifer Xiong as a high school art and AVID teacher, Cassidy Harman as an elementary speech and language pathologist, and Jennifer Hedrich as a 0.50 elementary social worker. The minutes also note the resignation of Sara Jozefowski, a 6–12 special education teacher, effective June 11, 2026. Vice President Angela DeFord called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m.; according to the minutes the meeting was adjourned at 5:05 p.m. and included the district's nondiscrimination statement. The minutes are signed by Vice President Angela DeFord and Secretary Jen Sielaff.
