Policy committee reviews Start College Now eligibility clarifications

The Parkview School District Policy Committee on March 26 reviewed proposed clarifications to Policy 343.42 and 343.42-Rule governing the Start College Now program. Administrator Amy Lewis, who presented the revisions, said the proposed language is intended to clarify how students qualify for Start College Now and that other school district policies were reviewed when drafting the suggested changes.

The committee discussed how the clearer eligibility language would be applied in practice and asked staff to ensure guidance aligns with existing transcript and credit-evaluation practices. No formal vote was recorded in the meeting minutes; the committee concluded discussion with direction to refine the draft language for a future meeting.
