Finance committee affirms administration's recommendation to select Lauterbach & Amen for audits

Bob Chady told the committee that the district solicited 11 firms and received proposals from three: KerberRose, Lauterbach & Amen and Lucida. He said KerberRose "provided the lowest overall cost for the performance of the annual audit," but recommended Lauterbach & Amen because the firm "has a more robust secure file transfer portal for ongoing audit related communications and file sharing" and would generally provide more value to the district. The Finance Committee affirmed the administration's recommendation.
The committee did not record a roll-call vote or dollar figures for the proposals in the meeting minutes; administration will proceed according to district procurement policy and bring final contract documentation to the board as required.
