Board approves officer elections, consent agenda, Athletic Code changes and FFA trip; adjourns to executive session
Summary
On April 27 the board elected officers (all motions carried unanimously), approved the consent agenda (vouchers and minutes), adopted Athletic Code changes and approved the 2026 FFA Canada trip. The board voted to move into executive session under Wisconsin Statutes §19.85(1)(f) and later approved an unpaid leave for Employee "A."
Board members conducted several formal actions on April 27. By voice vote with all five members voting yes, the board elected Brent McCurdy as president, Tashina Raygor as vice president, Dawn Mielke as clerk and Matthew Brice as treasurer. The consent agenda — monthly expense vouchers; board minutes from March 25, April 8 and April 14; and requests for credits for Amanda Burch and McKenzie Sauve — was approved by voice vote with all five members voting yes. The board also approved Athletic Code changes and authorized the 2026 FFA Canada trip for up to 10 students by voice vote; both motions carried with all five members voting yes.
Later in the meeting the board moved, seconded and passed a motion to adjourn into executive (closed) session pursuant to section 19.85(1)(f) of the Wisconsin Statutes; roll-call votes recorded MB, TR, DM, JM and BM as voting YES and the board adjourned to executive session at 5:55 p.m. After reconvening at 6:12 p.m., the board approved an unpaid leave of absence request for Employee "A" by voice vote with all five members voting yes, then adjourned the meeting at 6:13 p.m.
