District reports 84 students qualified for CTE Technical Incentive Grant, up from 45 last year

The South Milwaukee School District submitted its CTE Technical Incentive Grant application data for the class of 2026; district staff reported 84 students met the requirements for funding.
"So far, 84 students have met the requirements for funding (vs 45 from the class of 2025). Many thanks to Chris Daniels and our CTE team," Superintendent Deidre Roemer said. The board acknowledged the increase and thanked staff for the work to identify and document eligible students.
No dollar amount for the grant award was cited in the meeting minutes; the district noted only the count of eligible students and the submission of the application data.
