Residents urge enforcement at dangerous intersection and raise long-running RV and refuse complaints

During public comment several residents raised safety concerns and long-standing nuisance issues.

Resident Michael Clark said he had posted videos showing drivers running the stop sign at the Reilly/Dunn intersection and said he had received threats after posting. "I posted a couple videos on Facebook, on the borough website about people driving through stop signs," Clark said, and asked for repeated patrols. Council and the police chief urged residents to report threats directly to the police and said targeted enforcement (officers sitting at the intersection) can be scheduled.

Fran Vutnowski described a travel trailer/RV parked for many years in a neighbor's yard and reported odors and pests; she told council the RV may have been moved in at night and said "it was brought in during the night... he snuck it in from Lenape". Code staff said they have inspected the location and will follow up.

Separately, Mr. Brown and others asked about the impending refuse contract and whether bids could require vendor‑provided curbside cans. Council members noted bids had considered options but said costs were a limiting factor; Mayor Legg said prior experience showed adding cans for every household would raise costs substantially. The borough's refuse bids are scheduled to be opened June 2 and considered for award on June 16 unless council acts otherwise.
